David Raffoul | Nicolas Moussallem

David/Nicolas is a design studio located in Beirut, co-founded in 2011 by David Raffoul and Nicolas Moussallem.

These two designers have had both local and international experiences, which have been filtered into their work, enriching its content and, ultimately, its aesthetics.

The studio's philosophy is reflected through teamwork, which, by definition, involves working together. However, there are various different approaches and divergent opinions that bring character, history, and unique individualities to the spaces they work on and the objects they create. Their works have been exhibited internationally at venues such as Salone del Mobile/Milan, Art Basel/Miami, Design & Foam Gallery/Amsterdam, Paris D'Days, IMM Cologne, Beijing Design Week, Salone Satellite/Milan, Shanghai Glass Museum, Hong Kong/Mobile Museum, and Espace Éphémère Gallery/Beirut.

Nicolas Moussallem is a Lebanese designer. Over the course of a year, he worked as a product and interior designer at Hotellerie SA, a luxury boutique hotel in Beirut. Before that, Nicolas completed an internship at DGo, where he worked closely with Diego Grandi on the development of various products, from wooden toys to kitchen utensils. He holds a degree in Interior Design from the Lebanese Academy of Fine Arts in Beirut, Lebanon, and a master's degree in Industrial Design from the Scuola Politecnica Di Design in Milan.

David Raffoul, born in Paris and raised in Beirut, studied Interior Architecture at the Lebanese Academy of Fine Arts in Beirut and holds a master's degree in Product Design from the Scuola Politecnica di Design in Milan. After completing his master's degree, David stayed in Milan to complete an internship at Studio Marco Piva. He then had another experience in Tokyo at the Nendo design studio. He worked for a year as a designer at Fabrica, the communication research center of the Bennetton Group, located in Italy.
